For the few hours a month I would have time to ask for any specific tracks to be streamed. I think they are all too expensive.
I do spend many hours on YouTube with my thumb waiting for the skip button to appear and I don’t think I ever looked at what any of the adverts are trying to tell me though. I wonder if there are any statistics? How many seconds after the skip button appearing people carry on watching? Obviously some corporates think it is well worth the money they are spending for the advertising. They’d just be better off getting lance to make a video about it. That’d sell more.
For the many hours I spend in the van radio 2 is near perfect except when Elaine with all that cackling and cerys with all that depressing stuff that is enough to give you the blues, is on.
Like others have said I used to spend a lot of time downloading from the internet but always ended up buying what I like on vinyl.
Don’t want to get into the vinyl Is best debate technically or otherwise? I prefer it but can see the advantages of streaming but only with regards to convenience.
I would still love to see what equipment All these people that complain about crackles and pops are using (or if their vinyl is just scattered across the kids bedroom floor). none of my equipment would be classed as audiophile by an audiophile. But I still don’t hear any crackles and pops just feel the music!! Perhaps it’s down to the speaker cable and those expensive cable hangers I am using (not!). Oh and don’t forget the platted gold-plated silver stranded mains lead. That made a lot of difference.
I still like a good old flac file, even if it was originated on a binatone cassette player with a microphone sat in front of some speakers, recording a CD!! Technically The file info says is perfect! When its sounds bollocks!
