Have ramped up the feed to my max available, just about hitting 4 bars.

Will be setting it long term at 2.9 bars

Max available pressure. To show this I’ve used blind filter basket and set pre infusion to 6 bars. I.e. solenoid stays open as 6.0 cannot be achieved.

Even at 4 bar feed the evo is better at hitting the set point which shows the ramp up and down of the rotary pump is the “cause” when people are Complaining about over shoot which is unavoidable….

With the feed regulated to 2.9 bars this should be bang on….. to be confirmed!!

So its all back together.

Flow rate measured. 1040g in 20 seconds . 3l / minute.

Will measure again at 2.9 bar. Stupidly i put the washer and fridge back after turning it up to 11!! ( 4 bars)

The elbow is a ⅜ bspp (solenoid end) to ½″ bspp (for the connection to Paolo’s hose which my wife particularly likes with the italian colours on it!)

Also known as 3/8G to 1/2gG

Swapped the ⅛ - 6mm push to a ⅛ - 8mm compression.

Out of the solenoid is 3/8G elbow and 3/8G to 8mm compression

And as can be seen by the state of it, the 8mm copper was some I’d had in the shed for quite a while screwed up !!

Out of curiosity: what would happen if you would still use the pump?

So new solenoid first and after that the pump. Would you be able to achieve higher pressures?

Maybe flow is an issue but since water is hardly compressible, would it be able to still reach higher pressures?

I’ve not checked on this but my understand is that the particular rotary pump is designed and requires an open suction source and would not work with a pressurised feed . That’s from long distant memories from a past life.

But in any case i want to reduce what i have now to 3.0 bars max which i will do when i can pluck up the energy to drag the washing machine out again 😭😭

I see, that would definitely be a limitation. Not sure what kind of line pressure we have here but anything above 3 would seem ridiculous anyway.

In hindsight i could have just used the existing inlet solenoid id been using but was hell bent on needing flow and the ⅛ orifice too small . But that was a feeling not a calculation 😚

Adrianmsmith I was thinking if the flow would be faster the other way around. Nevertheless, great work. This may be something for ACS to look into in future iterations. 😊

Yes the 2 actual bends were by bending tool but the initial straightening and abuse were by hand.

Flow is cross sectional area and pressure related primarily in this case so not affected by this extreme short change of distance or head if were going to get technical to the n’th 🤪

@chCoffee this could be a video you can do to compare if you are still having issues. Was ground very slightly course from dialled in

Kept the factory pump in place, into a new ball type check valve, then into the adapter which allows incoming water to pressurize the line before the factory manifold.

No issues here.

The flush valve keeps pressure back from the group, but am considering putting in an NSF solenoid I have, just to close the incoming water while the machine is off.
