I will go so far to say but I’m sure some will disagree that it is actually easier than trying to keep filling the tank with descale solution. You just pump it in, the solenoid and machine work as normal. I pumped the full solution through at various stages through both boilers and then drained the boilers from the bottom prior to completing a couple of flushes after connecting back up to the water filter.
As usual, the most difficult part was getting the side panels off of the machine which I possibly did not need to do, but it does make draining the boilers from the bottom easier.
The most difficult part about maintaining this whole machine is removing those M4 screws from underneath the side and rear panel 🤓😎🤦🏼♂️🤪
If you need to purchase a pump to do this, make sure you get one that is relatively big hose and meant for cooling or use on a saw etc. As opposed to garden spray. Once you pump the bottle up the machine uses it the same as it does the mine’s water in normal use.
A word of warning!!
Prior to emptying the boiler in the first place, turn off the heated group, turn both boilers down to 80 and then turn them off.
You do not want to risk the brew boiler element turning on with no water in.
you do not need to turn it down to 80 but I let it soak at that for a while before ramping back up.
