Advise on buying dual Boiler espresso machine

This is Srinath from India, Very excited to be a part of the Forum.

I have been brewing coffee for the last 7-6 Yrs, I use a local single boiler espresso machine paired with Sette 30 grinder. Apart from that I prefer Manual brewing methods like Clever dripper, Aeropress and French Press. I prefer milk based drinks during day time so roughly1-2 Latte or Cappucino in a day.

I'm looking for an upgrade to dual boiler machines like Profitec Move. Lelit Elizabeth and Gaggia GT.

Since am located in India I have the above three options. Personally I love the Profitec Move (but slightly expensive) than Lelit Elizabeth. Due to nature of my service i keep moving every two years, so I'm looking for a robust build quality

Can anyone pls guide me since am totally stuck !

Srin85 Greetings….on the forum there are plenty of Elizabeth owners, hardly any (if indeed any) Gaggia and Profitec owners. Therefore expect folks to tell you about their Liz. Indeed, I own one. My last machine broke and I wanted to prove to myself and anyone else who would listen, that you do not need an expensive machine to make good coffee (but a decent grinder does help).

There are plenty of threads on here for the Elizabeth. try and search for them. But to sum up, small and portable, twin boiler, can supply hot water without the steam boiler being on, 58mm, pid….what more do you need!

Profitec move is 50% more expensive than Elizabeth. Unless you must have it for looks, Elizabeth is cheaper and likely a better in features and performance

Srin85 one plus is that there is so much expertise on this forum regarding Elizabeth. So that is a plus. For example, I have put felt feet on the bottom of mine to make it slide on the counter. And, I have a jug and funnel I use to refill the tank. One complaint about Elizabeth is the tank is not convenient. But a tank only open at the top with a small opening is totally reliable for the long haul. Filling it is fixed using a method such as mine. So, all of these machines are wonderful, but help from us is very useful.

Elizabeth is the only machine that makes it to Lance's A tier.
I'd take the review by our late Dave over that list, but just to make sure "Elizabeth is good" is not just a confirmation bias.

Adrianmsmith well you know, some guys. I know Coffeetime is not very fond of him, I'm not either, but my point is to just highlight Elizabeth. We need to make sure we are not an echo chamber of some beliefs

The problem with Lance Hedrick is not about liking nor questioning his integrity.

The issue is that he has no comprehension of systemic thinking and clearly no acquaintance with basic statistics. Consequently, his ratings are entirely meaningless and thus useless. Really too bad as he does essentially have the raw data that could be used to produce meaningful and useful rankings.

I've thought about reaching out to him to offer a free one-hour tutorial which is likely all that is needed. If I find any easy way to reach him perhaps I will, as I do not believe he is intentionally skewing results, just doing so out of ignorance.

BrendaninBrooklyn i m not in a process of looking for a new machine so I didn't even watch it, just skimmed very quickly to see how some machines I know ranked, because you know, good to have confirmation bias. As I said Dave's review should be a very good starting point, and we have several owners and ex-owners here speak highly of Elizabeth, but it does not hurt to have some "outside" view. Just to provide perspective.
I wish James updated his "best under £1500 espresso machines" with Elizabeth, but this is as good as I can get.
