The postman didn’t bring this but I’d like to know who did.
A few weeks ago, after washing a load of towels, my wife found a key in the washing machine drum and we don’t have a clue as to what it fits. I looked all over but couldn’t find a lock, padlock or anything else that it would fit. I put it in the box where I keep spare and loose keys and forgot about it.
Yesterday, after washing bedsheets we found another loose key in the washing machine drum, identical to the first one.
Two identical loose keys, smaller than a Yale key and larger than a normal padlock key. Where have they come from?
I’ve always suspected that our washing machine sends odd socks through wormholes in space, perhaps it has now started turning them into keys.
