yep, absolutely loving the workflow with the Philos. Can I hand on heart saying I am getting a better coffee in the cup? I honestly can’t say. My palate is not developed enough and nor have I done a side-by-side test (Yet!) with my Mazzer Mini.

That said, for the first time ever, I am beginning to taste some of the notes marked on the coffee descriptions - especially the fruiter notes. With my Mazzer Mini, the fruiter notes just tasted sour

..but I will do a blind test of the same coffee/batch with both the Mazzer’s and also my KINGrinder hand grinder (which i think is underrated)

I made similar recently but just shoved a skewer through half an onion to put the meat on. Tasted great but took quite a while to cook.

How do you apply thee heat ? How long to achieve the lovely finish ?

The chap on YouTube channel (That Dude Can Cook) said you could use either half a spud or onion with a couple of skewers too, but I love a gadget.

His took about 90 minutes but I guess it all depends on how much meat and how thick the pieces are. He used boneless chicken thighs that he pounded flatter. Marinated them and just cooked in the oven. It comes with 3 different lengths of spike and he put his on the lowest shelf but it would still cook if the wire racks were taken out and it was placed on the oven floor.

It was meant to be because I went out to the supermarket to get some veg and there in the reduced section for meat was 4 packs of boneless chicken thighs reduced in price. When I got home the pan and spikes had been delivered. So, I will be testing it out within the next couple of days🤞

This version of the switch immersion dripper came and it’s really good glass and silicon. I’m quite pleased with it. It cost about £7.24 all in, inc tax, from Aliexpress.

I will be using it for various grinder tests and filter coffee tests.

This one is really cheap looks like the same thing, as the one I bought is much more now. best to keep an eye on the site for another cheap one and ensure you select the dripper not the teapot or pot.
