Cuprajake 161 g if you only take the Aeropress. The cup is 91 g, but of course any cup that fits and can take the weight works.

Tried it for the first time this morning and it felt very good. So well built and easy to use. No wondering if I am putting enough pressure on or am I straight, just place push and voila!

I got the V.1 model for the 58.5mm one which also has the ‘click’ noise when the set spring pressure is reached (ala MHW-3Bomber). They both come with stands of course, but interestingly whilst the 58.5mm one is made of rubber or silicone, the 49.7mm one is metal.

So, no complaints here, worth every penny and with a great build quality that I think will see me out.

We also use a lever machine at the cafe, to get the best out of it. Someone said it would be better if we discard the first bit that comes out, do you do that? I haven’t tried that yet but I do end up retarding the lever to keep it below 12 bar. I think it comes out good at around 9-10 bar

I have evo 2 with my modified blind sleeve .

Currently set as follows

19.5g in 44g out

10.8 bar start unaided natural rest point of the lever

7 bars finish

6 seconds at 2 bars and 26 seconds average aim for main.

Never heard about discarding the first bit…. @DavecUK ??

First blend ive had in a couple of years!!

The legend that is MWJB has responded, as he always does. On the box they say best to give two weeks after the roast date before trying. So, I have to wait until 13th and 15th of March respectively before I crack them open.

Not arrived today, but expecting niche duo filter burrs tomorrow.

I currently have a Duo with espresso burrs, a Fellow Ode gen 2 and a K ultra hand grinder.

Want to try the duo filter burrs and see if I can say goodbye to the ode or not. My guess is switching on a Friday to espresso burrs and Monday morning back to filter burrs will get old fast and I’ll prefer my current separate grinder approach….
