Lets kick off with some beautiful measuring equipment and it's even coffee related for some projects I'm doing. Micrometer (1 micron), depth gauge (1 micron) and calipers (10 micron). Ooh, I can actually join in today! Took advantage (for the second time) of a sale at Thomson’s that one of the other members mentioned previously (sorry- I forgot who!)

I tried the Sweet Berry and Red Ruby last time and got a couple of additional ones to try as well, including a light roast which I never got on with when doing pour over but fancy trying for espresso.

Some of their bags, for examples Rwanda and Ethiopia have a cup score of > 90, and still sell at £23 a KG. Of course, it’s a stock clearance, and can’t be recently roasted.

But, without any discount, these coffees with such high scores are cheaper at £29-£31 than the roasters selling at £40 plus.

Thanks Dave, not had chance to reply this morning but didn’t want LMSC thinking I was ignoring the question!

I was pleasantly surprised with the roast date, think they were roasted the day I ordered so I’ll be popping them in the freezer soon once they have rested.

Ordered a KG each of The Haru and Rugali. The roast dates are 28 Feb 2022 and 22 Feb 2022.

If any one is keen on the Sweet Berry, the cupping score is 85.5 and a fresh batch was roasted yesterday.
