Some exciting sounding coffees from Taith. The Pepe Jijon and Nestor Lasso are extortionate but then being offered as small 36g samples is probably the only way I’d be wanting to purchase them. I’ll report back on how they taste. Got a couple of decafs I’m looking forward to too

Im also enjoying hand-grinding and picked up the Kingrinder K6 when it was on sale from Amazon a couple of weeks ago for ~£80ish. Enjoying it for both filter and espresso as a quieter option in the mornings.

I do not often endorse. This chap is in Turkey and makes a variety of wood ‘things’. many coffee related. I bought a new steam knob and handle for my Elizabeth. It was an easy transaction and about 8 days later the UPS package turned up. Then I found that both the pf and the handle had male fittings. My odd job man tried to take the M12 bolt out of the oem pf but nae chance. To save anything being lost in translation, and Yileri is aware of the problem, I sent him this photo

The result is he charged me postage only without the need to send the other one back. I was pleasantly surprised at this, so rounded the transaction up to an amount I was happy with!
The handle and knob are nicely made but you do need to apply a couple of coats of Danish oil to finish them off. Will post some photos once everything is in place

Cuprajake Ebay bargain? I sometimes look though for either individuals items or mixed non sets. Sometimes you can strike lucky and find something nice and reasonably priced. I bought 2 of these cappuccino with one espresso postage included for £25. Not the prettiest ones but even so

Well maybe stupidly I have bought a weber unibasket , as the price has dropped alot - and I found it on a UK website.

But during my time since the order I have reminded myself how messy bottomless portafilters are - and I cannot use the micra spouts with this basket (i got the 24grm one to try deeper shots)

So we shall see - it could be a total disaster for my preferred darker roasts - and it could be back up for sale shortly 😂😂

Quite pleased . 2nd shot. Even managed a good sip as espresso. Then promptly steamed the milk!!
