Lets kick off with some beautiful measuring equipment and it's even coffee related for some projects I'm doing. Micrometer (1 micron), depth gauge (1 micron) and calipers (10 micron). A pleasure to use, especially the callipers as my other set are Mitutoyo, but 60 years old (my dads) and in thou. Gagaryn DavecUK Thanks for the feed back as I know what I need to do now. I have always bought good tools and they have served me well, other than losing them. There are quite a few machines with a screwdriver or spanner inside which is mine. However on this occasion I was put of by the price as another item to buy on top of everything else I have bought. Oh well I will just have to get the Visa card out again.

DavecUK Yes they are!

The measurements are fine. The only difference is the silicone is flat on both sides, while the black rubber gasket is bevelled on both edges of one side. I will try and fit some time this week. I may have to see if I can push out the existing one from top of the bottom group. 😊

Another parcel today so nearly there. DPD only delivered the zero parcel 1 of 2 all the extra filters were not on the van according to driver. So another chase up and stay in to accept delivery when it comes.

Yeah the rest of it turned up. Must be costing DPD a fortune in delivery costs. Have had this a few times now and it seems it’s not uncommon for two drivers delivering to the same address on the same day. Just a few filters to be sure.

Meldrew Is that like 3 - 6 years supply (6 - 12 month replacement cycle)? Haha that’s what I call preparation. Did you get standard or hard water filters? Hope they gave you a discount! I didn’t even buy a second pack as expecting the initial filters to go past 6 months at least.

I love my Osmio and the wife seems to have bought in now as uses it more than the Brita jug she was adamant on keeping as well.

JahLaza Alexvs In the end it was a no brainier. Osmio is a established and proven product with good customer service and Everyone has been happy with the Osmio. So it’s a big thank you to everyone for the advice and guidance that has been given. I am sure that I will be asking more questions especially next week when the Vesuvius arrives. So brace yourselfs. These extra filters are the ones for harder water so If I have to change the filters every six months I am well prepared.

Meldrew Yeah I was of the same thought process which led me to the OZ. Seems a no brainer to also pick the hard water filters for me as my area is in the higher but think it just gives a little extra peace of mind.

Some nice beans. Currently going through the free bag of Milk Buster from BB which I’m not converted to if I’m honest…but it was a nice gift and I’m all up for trying something new.

My family have taken to hot chocolate so my steam arm needs a bit of TLC too!

mission701 I’ve just started hot chocolate for my kids too. So far just made a paste with hot water and spoon then steamed plain milk and poured as for a latte.

Sounds like you steam the got chocolate? Can see that getting messy!

simonc Not too messy but definitely leaves a residue that’ll need more than a wipr to clear. Mixes very efficiently and makes a very good hot choc though!

Quite like the backstory of the company and the website was very nice. Fingers crossed the coffee is good too!

Edit: #18 just arrived ^ the competitor to this one at LFC 22 now I can do a head to head!

For me is just a classic WDT tool for today to retire the contraption I made some time ago out of a marker cap. Not really needed but finally you can now buy it at a decent price on ebay 🤷
