I have had more coffee equipment than most on here. When my Evo Leva went to thee great scrapyard in the sky I thought what next? I decided to go back to basics and ended up with the Liz. it had on paper everything I need. A small footprint, twin boilers, plenty of options, a mature machine. So without much more thought I bought it. There has not been a day gone by that I have regretted that action. She puts a smile on my face every time I use it.

This is something that I have been mulling over for a few weeks now so certainly not a badly thought through decision.

I bought it from BB in March 2025. They were £1199.95. I have a spare handle and bottomless. The machine has a wooden pf handle and nearly matching steam dial. I use RO water so I doubt that it will need a descale from the days under my stewardship!

Price is £850 fixed. That is nearly a third off and is a bargain for someone. If anyone wants to pair this with the grinder I have for sale I am sure we can do a deal. I have the original packaging and as long as you organise at your own risk and cost I will pack it up. I can take more photos but you all know what it looks like!

John_Yossarian Hiya Jordan, my tastes have gone round in circles. For quite sometime now I have been taking milk less and less when drinking espresso based. My preference was medium to medium dark blended beans. I have had an Aromaboy for years and put it up against a Moka cafetiere and other methods I have had and always preferred the Melitta. I started buying better grade SO beans for it and even my tastebuds noticed the difference.

So, thought I would try a drip machine with better temp control and opted for the Sage luxe brewer, but I discovered that it had one fault. At this point I was looking for something that worked on autopilot. Then three things happened. I started playing with my Hario Switch and it beat hands down the Sage. I then was sent a bag of really good quality beans and I sent the Sage back and bought a Fellow Aiden. This is an upmarket drip machine. My first few attempts were on auto then I realised that I really did need to switch over to recipes where you could control all aspects of the brew. That is where I am now at and I am still learning. Brweed coffee is actually far more technical than espresso. Whether I will ever get it right, who knows!

dfk41 I totally get what you are saying. If there were an expression “coffee maverick” you should be its epitome Always on the move seeking this extra bit of sophistication that would bring the coffee nirvana. Good luck!
