Actually it’s 2 Cars or Gicar - treated myself and my wife to new or newer vehicles - both petrol, whilst you can still buy one instead of an electric trolley!
A late response is better than none?
Finally fitted my V2 Gicar just before Xmas - it works OK and does seem to have cured my intermittent problem of ramping the pressure up to 1.5+bar after a shot (normal) but then staying there (not normal) - I actually thought it was the temp sensor playing up again (already had to replace 2) but fitting the V2 has seemed to cure it, so far!
Using it only in coffee mode - it does not heat whilst brewing a shot (good) but it sure makes up for it immediately after and in fact takes the service boiler to a higher pressure/temp than the V1 Gicar did?
Overall, it works OK and hopefully has cured my intermittent fault and yes the brew temperature seems stable. I can pull two 18g doubles, if I am quick, before I think the temp has climbed too much - no I don’t have a temp gauge on the E61 as I am using a flow control device so I am only guessing. To the end user not that much different to the V1 I think and maybe a downgrade if you want steam in coffee mode - luckily, I never do! Just a tad oversold/below expectations?
