Sham DavecUK Big as in the difference between a good or bad shot? Or just ever so slightly more bitter (more fines I suppose if the edge isn’t as good?) BlackCatCoffee Does this site even have private messaging? Can’t find it anywhere… I’d be interested in them for sure, are they the 64mm 33M version?
DavecUK Sham Does this site even have private messaging? Can’t find it anywhere… I’d be interested in them for sure, are they the 64mm 33M version? Our policy and how we do it is all explained here. Of course you can always e-mail BCC through his website. https://coffeetime.freeflarum.com/d/229-private-messaging-important As you can see I am contactable directly via the “mail link” in my signature. oh and the difference I think is huge…
Sham BlackCatCoffee I sent a message on your site 🙂 DavecUK I guess it’s easier that way, goes straight to my main email inbox.
DavecUK Sham I guess it’s easier that way, goes straight to my main email inbox. It’s also completely private and not handled by the forum…..which makes me far happier.
Sham I ended up ordering the original burrs from blue star coffee, only £26 including delivery 👍 Looking forward to some good grinds. Also received the refund from Bella Barista now 🙂

Also received the refund from Bella Barista now 🙂 Did you order these? Do the burrs have Mazzer stamped on them? On their Lux 61mm Blades they make a point of saying OEM. https://www.bluestarcoffee.eu/mazzer-jolly-grinder--flat-blades-6880-p.asp
Sham I ordered these: So they are original but I think they increased the price of the OEM ones (they’re 34 euro now minus postage), guess I bought at a lucky time 🤨
Elcarajillo Make sure you clean out the adjuster threads thoroughly, use a cocktail stick. Clean the grind chamber to rid it of stale oil from old coffee. Try to polish out the moisture marks in the chamber.
DavecUK Sham they weren’t oem, I guess when the cafe got new burrs the technician cheaped out. I think it’s very common when buying a used grinder….You should notice quite a difference with OEM burrs.
