Any recomendations for a good general purpose (i.e. not too obscure) bean for espresso from hasbean, Looking for a daily driver 1kg or so bag to use a 25% off voucher on, I already have a subscription but use that for filter.

ken0062 Is there a reason why do you require beans only from this roaster ? There are so many of them to try on.

Blackcat is good; I think they still give a std 15% off using a forum discount, which is Forum 15. Their Chocolate Point and Signature Blend are good.

Most of the roasters would give 10% off if you subscribe to their promotions by email. If I am not wrong, Extract Coffee may still offer 30% off on first order of you sign up for their email.

Thanks for replies, decided to give them a miss in the end and went back to coffee by the casuals, wish more roasters would do 500g bags makes it so much easier to get a good mix

Between coffee compass and foundry, I would go to the later. Although compass’s rocko mountain and mount kercini are good, I find them on the darker side.

Just placed an order with Coffee Compass on their 3 × 500g bags for £30 of Cherry Cherry, Sweet Bourbon and Brighton Lanes. Really enjoyed these beans with my Bambino so intrigued to see what they’re like with the Minima
