Thanks Dave. I just asked Antonio on Instagram and he replied within minutes. He confirmed that the production Nurri Leva (at least in the Australian model) uses a rotary pump.

The newest batches will have a new feature whereby the rotary pump is controllable through a dial at the rear of the machine sourcing from a suggestion I made to Antonio. What this means is that it will be much easier and more practical to change the pressure level of the pump during preinfusion than before
Bella Barista no longer seem to stock Nurri.
Whether they have taken it off the list of machines they sell because there are delays in manufacturing/shipping or whether they no longer deal with Nurri I have no idea.
CoyoteOldMan Email them and ask them, perhaps…….
dfk41 I’m not in the market - perfectly happy with the ACS at the moment; it was just an FYI/update note for people researching the machine.
The nurri is still available through dealers in Belgium, Australia and a couple other countries as I understand it. I believe you can also get it directly from nurri for countries not having any dealers.
Slightly odd then that BB have decided not to stock and sell. I wonder why?

Who knows. They also don’t stock any of the ACS machines - they used to. I wonder why?
Edit: no hidden agenda. Just playing devil’s advocate. 🤪
I’ve been looking at Lever machines and like many others the ACS EVO Leva and the Nurri Leva seem to be the most attractive. I do have one question about the Nurri Leva though:
There is a plumbing option for the Nurri Leva I believe with a red internal switch to change between the tank and the plumbed water line input. When plumbed in, is the rotary pump bypassed with preinfusion pressure coming only from the water line? Or is the rotary pump still used for preinfusion?
Forgive me if this has been previously answered but I didn’t see it.
I would have thought that the rotary would still needed so that pre-infusion pressure can be adjusted, which it can be.
Mine will be here in two weeks so if you give me a nudge I’ll check.
Thanks.
My first post. I forgot to mention that I really like Coffeetime - an example of what special interest forums could and should be.
What is the price point?
It looks a very fine machine indeed. I look forward to reading Tom’s review once he gets it @tompoland 🙂

John_Yossarian What is the price point?
Somewhere around EUR 3500 / GBP 3000 / USD 3600 excluding shipping, taxes and custom duties, with a factory (parts) warranty. A bit more with wood accessories/sides.
TrampGeo Welcome!
In addition to @tompoland ’s answer re: pre-infusion pressure - I believe it is possible to modify the Nurri in the same way that some have modified the ACS Leva to bypass the pump, resulting in near-silent operation. However, you’d lose the ability to vary PI pressure. If you are looking at lever machines in that category/price range, ACS’s new 1-group Vostok could also be interesting.
John_Yossarian me too!
It’s been a looong wait. Ordered in February from memory.
It’s now in Melbourne getting the once over by the hyper diligent Chris Natoli of TalkCoffee who is planning to ship it to me around December 6th. Means I’ll probably have it around the 13th.
So hopefully I can post a review mid January.
Am I right in thinking Bella barista have dropped the nurri?
Decent De1pro v1.45 - Niche Duo - Niche Zero - Decent is the best machine ever made -
John_Yossarian I paid AU$6,790 for the white with zebrano model. Because I’ve bought through a trusted retailer that includes freight from Italy to Australia and customs import duties.
