For this machine it's one of the first made, and I am doing an Engineering review on it for Antonio (the creator) as a favour, so I can't really comment at this stage. But I can post photos….and say that the Paddle levers on this are very basic beta ones….so that area is still in the design melting pot.

I love the look of these sorts of lever machines, but they really need to at least try to make them a bit more compact in design. They're either lacking in that area of expertise or they don't care… A more compact design would look like a much better centre piece in a kitchen (and take less space in a commercial setting), rather than protruding till the near edge. The size distracts from the elegance of it.

@"Sham"#p10001 I agree when it comes to similar sized Levers that require external plumbing or flojet type arrangement. But the Nurri is dual boiler and plumbing is optional. Still, I agree that it's a lot for a normal kitchen. I like the footprint on the Decent for example.

@"tompoland"#p10007 In that case they should have either decreased tank sizes and utilised quicker water heating technology (I'm sure there's loads of options from other industry's) or started with a more wide design but I guess that would've cost too much R&D time. One way to think of it is that they won't lose customers if its small, but they will lose customers if its too big. It does look pretty nice though.

The Canadian dealer, Idrinkcoffee.com has the Nurri listed at $8250 CAD. This equates to roughly$ 6105 USD or $8827 Australian. So, this seems to match the pricing which Tompoland reported.

Yeah turned out OK. Always a risk though. I’m really pleased for Antonio Nurri too. It takes a lot of courage, not to mention a lot of money, to launch a new concept into what it already a moderately competitive market. Kudos to him.

For those who want to order, you can likely still get in at the last price point from suppliers who pre-ordered stock (in Australia that includes Coffee Time and Casa Espresso who have four units on the way at the last price point).

Time will tell if the Nurris will be priced out of the market but at this stage the demand is still strong.

Its also an awful time to start a new coffee machine company in these pandemic, inflationary and supply side disruption times…I hope the price can be adjusted downwards when materials prices and things stabilise and the global economy is better and his company has had more chance to consolidate and build…

Someone just brought something up on another forum moaning about the tamper that comes with the Evo and it got me thinking of the machines as a whole package,

Antonio included a very nice tamper with wood that well matched the wood on my machine. I’m experimenting with another tamper that is slightly larger. At this point, I don’t taste a difference.

I don’t think they are standard issue. But I asked and did receive extra portafilter gaskets and group head gaskets.

The Zebrano on the lever handle makes me think it’s actually wood - is that correct? I’ve seen manufacturers state they make the lever handles specifically resin for strength, but I find plastic less safe because it’s so damn slippery with wet hands.

Yes it is indeed solid zebrawood. The handle feels cool usually.and the grain of the wood provides solid grip and also a more organic feel.

I think all of the timber on the Nurri needed a little finer sanding but especially the slot type holes in the side panel where the edges are definitely rough. An easy fix but not something I expected to have to do on a machine at this price point.
