Hello there just joined. I drink only espresso and lattes or flat whites generally. I own two machines - an Izzo pompei lever at home and an e61 in the office which arr supported by basically the same grinders types. I certainly prefer the taste of the lever markedly though the e61 delivers what I find very tasty as well.

I’ve been drinking coffee for a long time, but never really knew what I was doing! I owned a Francis Francis X1 for more than a decade, but to my eternal shame I never knew how to use it correctly! (It’s been sent to live at the farm i.e. my parents’.)

I’ve started learning, obsessing and chasing consistency about a year ago, currently with a Sage Bambino Plus and Smart Grinder Pro. The latter is about to be replaced with a Niche Zero and I’m trying desperately not to fall too deep into upgraditis.

      DavecUK It may be one of the various updates to libraries. This was the first thread I followed (as it was the first one I posted in), and I noticed I hadn’t received any notifications when it was at the top of “recent posts” a couple of days ago. Notifications now seem to be regular.

              I used to frequent another forum, but it seemed to change over the last few years so I’d been off it.

              I see some names I recognise here, DaveC has been a huge help in the past.

              I have a Lelit Biance and Niche Zero, hoping to pick up a Mazzer Major to try out flat burrs for the first time.
