Just joined yesterday I think, and it’s already cost me something as I’ve just ordered the DF64V2 based off of a review here, though I must confess that I was looking for something in that category.
A friend and I started a small biz in 1981 called the Salt Lake Roasting Co. which he’s been running ever since. So I’ve been around coffee for awhile now. A friend and I are currently at work at a fairly new enterprise in New Delhi named Kilta Coffee Co.; our main target is B2B as the Specialty scene here is super new, and wholey ‘market driven’ (i.e. Instagram & such) which is something that I have a distaste for, as there is just too much bs… When I first arrived in India in 2010 there Wasn’t a coffee scene, it didn’t exist, so of course equipment of any kind didn’t either. I think Astoria was one of the few commercial machines sold here then, to give you an idea. Now, phew, just about anything you’d want for either the Home or Business setting. Though as much as I’d Love to get an ACS Evo Leva, the shipping and especially the VAT are some of the highest anywhere, so that will go on my Bucket List.
I’m very glad to have landed here as I’d respected DaveUK’s character and approach to his sediments on ‘other forums’; seems to be a level headed group here. I’ve already learned a lot and wanted to say Thank You to all who are a part of this effort.
