Special sauce, lol…is that the bit where Yanks praise the Baratza service department mainly because they need them every 6 months or so??? Or the need for earplugs and removing the cat from the room before operating it?
I’m sure the mass of the alloy casing helps moderate your basic commercial grinders noise output, probably wouldn’t be terribly hard to make them a bit quieter a la Eureka Silenzio either. But guess it’s a bit academic because in their natural habitat (cafes aren’t exactly library-like) it’s likely immaterial.
