Do you have a favourite coffee cup? I have cups galore, but seem to gravitate to the same ones day after day. The big white mug is the first brew in the morning; don't even try to talk to me until I've had my fill of Aeropress coffee. Then there's the red Loveramics egg espresso cup which I used all the time, but nowadays it's just for when I'm feeling a bit posh or have company. When I'm just slobbing around the house my go to vessel is the Duralex 120gm glass. It gets espresso and 1:1 Americano depending on how I feel. I use a 400ml, all red, mug. I read somewhere that red tricks your brain into tasting sweeter, more ripe, flavours. Other than that, my go to is an Aussie style thick glass and Osri hand blown, double walled, glasses for espressos.

Favourite is Acme, followed by Loveramics. For fruit tea and hot water, woe betide anyone who uses my big Houses of Parliament mug from House of Fraser a few years ago.

The biggest cup that "notneutral" make, it has a massive flat top on the handle to provide thumb stability. Ian

Loveramics egg is my go to for the morning flat white. I especially like the reactive glaze.

Recently purchased these which I use for a range of different purposes:

They are all good quality and from Waitrose. Find they are a good size and feel so use them a lot.. I do want to purchase some glass mugs soon as well though.

Acme tulip cups for the nostalgia around going to East London coffee shops in the early 2010s and practically all of them using Acme cups.

I’d wanted some for ages and at the time seemed like they were only available commercially, and then completely by chance seeing a load on clearance in Liberty so I bought about eight sets!

Inspired by this thread I’ve been trying to find some new favourite cups but there doesn’t seem to be many available anywhere. Loveramics seems to be sold out pretty much everywhere.

Does anyone have any favourite websites/ suppliers I should check out please? Mainly looking for 150 and 180ml cups (for cortados and flat whites)

This is where I got mine from, but as you’ve said stock can be an issue. They are lovely cups though and worth the struggle!

These are the ACME ones I have. They’re slightly thicker walled than the Loveramics ones, but otherwise very similar in design.

As mentioned above I got them in Liberty in London many years ago but it looks like they’re available online now.

Yeah they’ve never been the easiest things to get hold over here for some reason.

I just did a quick Google and it looks like there’s a few commercial hospitality stockists selling them, but they’re only available in packs of 6.

Not bad if you actually want 6!

Baldrick had a coffee pod subscription from these guys in the short time I had a Nespresso machine. Ordered 60 speciality coffees and 2 of the 4 boxes were past the best before date. Know it shouldn’t make a big difference to the taste of the coffee because of the sealed atmosphere but left a bad taste in my mouth (pun not intended) that they sent out something past best before without any warning that they would.

Granted they did replace but I didn’t renew my subscription.

Mark-drinks-coffee if you scroll up a few posts you’ll see that my flat white cups and saucers are mismatched. I would never have bought them like that by my other half wanted to get them for my birthday and I have to say I’m really pleased with the effect.

Favourites. Back left is handmade from Bolesławiec, Poland, famous for its distinctive ceramics. Front two are current favourites, classic and plain, Italian. The white espresso cup has a reassuring chunkiness to it, I love it.
