What’s KP and Pump Acc
- It’s a balancing act too low a pump acc and the machine doesn’t have time to get there
- too low a KP and it progressively trims back the pressure as it gets closer, the pucks becoming more permeable and it might not get there
If both are low then the effects can be cumulative as well as never having time to reach the objective.
When going for lower pump acceleration, it can help to set a pressure objective slightly higher, so that even if it doesn’t reach it, it reaches the pressure you wanted. In this way you can avoid a very specific situational setup. It’s best to find settings that suit most profiles, even if for some you have to aim higher or lower than you want, depending on the pressure you go to.
The PID is doing it’s best trying to control a rapidly changing dynamic system and set point….where loosing and gaining pressure are not happening at equal rates. So it’s not an ideal PID use case. Hence it being set as more of an on/off controller.
