I think that the “abnormal” flow is in effect more efficient, the cone effect that we always saw is because the basket flexion under pressure, the Unifilter should be very rigid, so there is not a convergence in the center of the basket.
Anyway, it’s a nice object, but why not producing just a basket with such specs, suitable for the majority of bottomless portafilters?
