Bought a few different Hario white papers to compare:
Dutch, Filtropa V60 02, in shrink wrap plastic - not received, I was sent boxed green stripe instead. I would verbally check with a supplier as to whether they actually have what you are ordering in stock - this has now happened to me more than once. You cannot go by images on websites.
Pink & black boxed 02 papers in 40s, pink & black loose bagged 02 papers in 100’s, green stripe boxed, or loose bagged 02 papers - these are all the same. Creped outer, smooth inner. I was buying boxed white 02 papers from Ocado until quite recently (no longer stocked), I don’t have any left, oddly these were boxed but did not have the clear cellophane in the box as do the most recent ones I have, so no idea of how old their stock was.
Boxed white, 01 in pink & black packaging, rough/heavy creping inside & out.
Loose pink & black bagged 01 white papers in 100’s (what I’m currently using), different to all the above, creping on inside & out but not as rough/heavy as the boxed 01s.
The idea that you can identify the factory by whether your papers come in bags, or boxes seems to be nonsense, unless they state, ‘made in Holland’.
