If you ever find yourselves in Lausanne, try the Coffee Page shop. It was a lucky discovery following a Tripadvisor suggestion for a good coffee shop near the central train station.
It was a small, cosy, sophisticated (and very silent!) place which at that point was ran by a single person that was managing to do everything herself: taking orders, grinding, brewing, serving in the table, offering recommendations. She made me a sublime flat white with distinct floral notes and great aftertaste. On asking her she said that she used these Honduran beans from some French roasters:
I acknowledge that there might be a little it of confirmation bias involved, as it was also one of the most expensive coffees I have ever had (6 swiss francs), even for the Swiss standards!
Went back there at 5.30 pm for a second round but they had closed down…😞
