the grime that builds up is horrendous - I didn’t let it reach that level after the first time I noticed
but still - moved on to a bottomless and I am happy
I can see the quality of my puck preparation
I can see how different grind settings affect not only first-drip but also maneuver around different pre-infusion profiles ( I have a flow control device)
I can cut the extraction when I notice blonding - as opposed to a time-bound regime
plus less contact with metal means a more direct consumption
