hthec thank you!
All good natured ribbing aside (loved the “breast implant” and the “stress ball”) it’s not a lot of money and while I suspect it will go onto the long list of things I’ve tried but didn’t persist with, I love to try stuff out.
If you want to amuse yourself for an hour or so, hop over to another forum somewhere (hint: down under) and go back to the first posts about the Decent when it was pre production. People are polite on this forum (the REAL "friendliest UK coffee forum) but they were plenty of harsh knockers about a machine that James Hoffman has recently described as the biggest influence on espresso making in the last decade.
Just saying that it’s common for innovation to be met with derision and sometimes deservedly so. But given that it doesn’t have “Weber” on it (thanks @Del_UK for your amusing post) and that the price point reflects the absence of that logo, I reckon it’s worth a punt and a play. Kind of like a flutter on the ponies … probably going to be out of pocket but it could be fun and who knows …. I might just be backing a winner.
So watch this space: review ETA end of June (unless someone can get hold of one before it arrives down under).
