If you want to deceive people and get away with it, take a cue from water filter suppliers and use terminology such as āhelps reduceā, though that canāt be used in this case as people could be supplying the skuma with tap water that is less likely to scale in less time. āHelps to control sale build-up and corrosionā would be accurate as the Skuma is supplying consistent remineralised water to the coffee machine, so definitely controls things. So long as thereās calcium and magnesium with carbonate hardness youāll get scale eventually in a service boiler without intervention. If the remineralisation bottles also add chloride and sulfate, you can also get stress corrosion cracking and microbiologically induced corrosion from sulfate reducing bacteria with stainless steel and brass/copper boilers respectivelyā¦..again, nothing wrong with saying the Skuma ācontrolsā this.
