Over the years I have been known to be a little accident prone. I’ve broken leg bones, shoulder bones, elbow bones (none through sport) impaled my foot, fallen off ladders, hit my thumb with such force it split open, very recently nearly chopped off the end of my right forefinger, but the number one spot goes to surviving scratch free what should have been a fatal car accident. If I were a cat I’d be looking over my shoulder by now for sure.
A couple of years ago I took up woodworking with hand tools as a hobby (that’s where the split thumb incident occurred) and was also literally 30 seconds away from being brained by a lot of falling wood. Hence my photo. Taken just after I had built my workbench using only an old saw, chisel, hammer, one hand plane a drill and a Black & Decker Workmate. A nod to a very funny man Kenny Everett who had a DIY character who always ended up cutting something off.
But the real me…Ahem! Relaxing and de-stressing doing my Yoga.
And the real me….CHEERS!
