Within a short time I accrued a lot of old tools (Ebay) and so I started off simple, wall hung holder for my selection of saws, wall hung rack for my different size hand planes, all made with dovetail or tennon joints (no screws or nails!). I then started on something a bit more ambitious, a wall clock case (for a 1920’s clock with a pendulum whose case was knackered) and shortly after starting it, I went and broke my left elbow whilst looking for a fudge shop in York. I was in a pot set at 45 degrees from my knuckles up to my shoulder for 7 weeks. It took 18 months of physical therapy before it has got back to anything like it was, and I found I couldn’t do anything woodworking wise in that time as I am very left handed.
But now I am back on the horse and looking at finishing the clock case… barring any accidents of course😉
