MaraX pressure after OPV mod

Hi!

A couple of days ago I did the OPV mod for my MaraX and efter that it behaves a little bit different. At first I think it takes some more seconds to get up to full pressure, maybe no big deal, but then when it reaches 9 bar it aint as steady as it used to, is small jerky movements up and down.

Has anyone here had the same experience and does anyone know how it can be fixed?

What is the mod, what did you do exactly?

DavecUK Sorry for being unclear. I diverted the water from the OPV back to the pump instead of letting it flush out in the drip tray. Did the same as “lelitinsider”,

Ah I remember, what’s probably happening is air in the output back to the pump is causing that slightly funny sound and movement of the needle.

DavecUK Is that air coming from the OPV? Is there any way of getting rid of it you think?

Might go with time…..one other way might be to try put a cheap plastic 1 way valve at the end far end of the tube from the expansion valve. Just before the Y connector

Might not work, but got to be worth a try.

Tjyven Just check the hose end connectors will fit you expansion valve hose..and use cable ties.
