Saw this in the supermarket and thought it would be a good trip down memory lane as I haven’t eaten this in over 60 years. When I was a kid on a Sunday teatime I would be given spam and brown sauce sandwiches whilst my mum listened to Sing Something Simple on the radiogram.
There is an expression…‘You should never go back’ and regarding Spam after eating that, I totally agree. It came in a two pack and the other one will be going in the charity food bin in our local supermarket.
Normally I would have had baked beans with it but I thought the salad would have at least been a nod to healthy eating but it didn’t work…I still felt as though I had desecrated the sanctum of the temple that is my body :)
