Niche Zero - One Year in Review

Hello, sorry I didn’t want to open a new topic. I have a Guatemala beans but the beans are big for the hole above the burrn and the niche struggle to drag and grind it.

You have any suggestion? How I can grind homogeneous it?

darkstefano You either have a very small (which finger is it), or that’s a very large bean. Is it a Maragogype?

P.S. Be better next to a ruler marled in cm and mm

darkstefano As far as I am aware, the FFC simply controls the flow of beans into the burrs. The original grinders did not have these fitted, so that I am sure that ought to solve your problem!

darkstefano I tried the biggest Maragogype I had (it was pretty big) when I came up with the NFC idea, it worked fine. Yours is perhaps slightly larger but it won’t be by much?

I don’t know, now i removed the top disk distributor and now it’s little better, but i m not happy with this coffee bag. Ugh!

Finally having my first Niche. it’s used but in very good condition, and I’m impressed. The hype of single dosing is true. however, one major drawback is the static - it’s everywhere. With my eureka, almost no static.

Was RDT a remedy, or it’s advised against ?

delta76 RDT works great when needed. It is fine with the Niche.

It might be atmospheric ie the central heating is starting to be used and it might be the beans. Sometimes it happens to me as well but I doubt it is the grinder itself
