This is the LR with built in Digital Pre-infusion Module. The machine was bought new by the previous owner in May 2019 and I took ownership in April 2020. I have only ever used filtered, soft Scottish water through it, I make two doubles a day with the occasional milk drink and sometimes I like to experiment with single shots. The machine is in excellent condition with only minor signs of wear in line with age/use as reflected in the photos.

My weekly maintenance routine has been to wipe the machine down, wash and dry the drip tray, soak the basket, PF, steam tip (if used) and shower screen in Puly Caff and clean. I also use the Espazola group head cleaner regularly. On a monthly basis, I clean and grease the group, apply wax oil treatment to handles and attend to any additional jobs that come up.

The machine has recently had a new inlet solenoid fitted. In the process of diagnosing the fault however, the engineer fitted a new pump – an expensive misdiagnosis which will benefit the new owner! As an option, I will include the original pump in the sale for an additional £100 This machine comes in the original box and the sale includes the following;

AlJames Can you explain what the difference is between this model and the LR24?

Obviously the LR24 runs on 24v! The two biggest differences are that the LR24 has a different pump, considered to be quieter than the one on the R. The other thing is the price – the LR is no longer in production so only available used but a new LR24 delivered in the EU will cost £4300.00 Worth checking the Londinium site to confirm that is accurate…. as for what happens in the cup, I don’t see how there could be any difference.

They also run a thermistor instead of the sirial pressure switch, if I’m not mistaken?

But fwiw there’s going to be no difference in terms of brew from the LR up to lr24

Cuprajake Won’t be any difference in terms of shot production vs the LR24, but the LR does have a pressurestat. The LR24 only relatively recently got a thermistor for electronic boiler temperature control.
