I never cease to be amazed that a courier firm has not popped up with a coffee machine shipping service. Even if it’s part of something the big companies offer for a fee. Guarantee the package will be hand carried (no conveyor belts) No drop policy hand to hand handover etc.. It’s a problem everyone has and you would think a specialist service would do well from retailers and private individuals alike.

I think lockdown caused a lot of the small carriers to stop. Last week a lad interested in my L1 was quoted over £300 by TNT to deliver it from Newcastle to London!

I reckon there would be specialist motorbike carriers who would be suited to this type of work.
Not motorbike couriers but the folks who make sure that your 1984 Mike Hailwood rep Ducati gets to where you want it with no dings drops or showers.

When you see how many carriers refuse to offer insurance on coffee machines, it makes you wonder how much care they take with anything. Is it really too much to expect something you pay for by weight and size to arrive in one piece without having to buy special insurance, if you can even get this?
