gordy53 I went to B&Q yesterday and saw these door/draw knobs and thought they might fit instead of the crappy original feet and they did only £10.50, our B&Q in Grantham is not a particularly big one so not massive choice but for my ‘MK 1’ version they will do for a whil
SurreyAlan Think the Mira feet were a 5mm thread, did these fit directly or did you have to drill them out and tap. When I was thinking of a Mira I looked round B and Q but didn’t think beyond wood, they look good.
gordy53 no drilling I just used the screws that came with the knobs and put a small lock washer under the screw ‘heads’ and a ‘dab’ of Blue Loctite on the end of the thread where it screws into the ‘foot’ and some silicon type Draw Stops under the feet as it wanted to move about a bit on the worktop, it seems fine but I may look for something a bit better to go under the ‘feet’
pasgal What section in millimeters are the Marax’s feet? So I can choose between various types of feet on sale on Amazon, to raise it slightly, thanks.
SurreyAlan Search for lelit mirax feet and it will return some nice wood ones with the bolts on etsy, I would have put the link in but I had a lot of grief copying it. When I was thinking about a mira x I looked at these but thought they’d raise the height too much that it would be tricky to fill without pulling it out from under my units. At the time they were asking about £70 for these but more sensibly priced now.
pasgal SurreyAlan my friend, I love black plastic minimalist style, I don’t like wood on espresso machine. Thanks anyway.
gordy53 I could not stop the ‘Silicone pads’ from pulling off every so often so I ended up buying a Silicone ‘tray’ that fits underneath the Mara and it over laps slightly and the machine does not move and any spillages etc are caught by the ‘lip’ that runs around the edge, a lt better than before
mtbcyclorista I had unused toe studs from two new pairs of mountain bike shoes sitting in the boxes. They have the same thread pattern and are just the right height.
ST30B mtbcyclorista 👍 I’ve been looking for a solution for the past yr (without spending big on chrome feet) Most of the market is geared towards wood so has proved tricky. Many of the ones I’ve liked haven’t had the right thread size.
