I must admit I’ve not touched the display once, so it’s been running at factory settings the entire time. Haven’t felt the need to mess with it!
Not sure what water you’re using but I took all the tubing and filter holder out of the tank as it just gets slimy and gross and isn’t needed unless you’re using the in-line filter.
My routine (I make around 4 coffees a day) is:
Weekly with machine heated to temp - Wash tank with soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Wash PF (not getting the wooden part wet obviously!), basket and rinse. Remove screen and gasket, wash/rinse and use group head brush to clean under screen, re-fit screen/gasket. Backflush water using blind basket three times for 10 sec. Flush 400ml through hot-water wand. I don’t use it but helps keep steam boiler water relatively fresh. Clean drip tray and wipe down entire machine.
3 Monthly - PulyCaff backflush, soak PF head in PulyCaff, rinse as directed and backflush with water as directed. Lubricate cam, wand ball-joints and flow control valve.
A note on the wand ball-joints- remove them VERY slowly applying slight upward pressure as you unscrew as there’s a small spring between the cuff/ball that you don’t want flying off somewhere. And yes I learned that the hard way.
I also use a wifi plug on mine as I tend to drink coffee around the same time so have it auto-on for a couple of hours then auto-off.
Other than that, I just use and enjoy!
