Baldrick I don’t understand who this is aimed at? Can understand them putting out stuff for people who already own a specialita, but if you’re in the market for a single doser surely that’s what the ORO is supposed to deliver 🤷🏼♂️
The trouble is, it’s big corporate think, which is why I dislike working with any big corporate…they devolve everything to departments heads who push it down to workers to come up with. Sales, Marketing, Operations all have conflicting needs, none of them can make the final decision and no one talks to customers. When someone has a comment or an idea…it never reaches the decision makers. Finally, in corporates, there is very little effective communication. I think it’s all owned by Nuova Simonelli. This all delivers pathetic attempts to garner the market by a lazy change to a Mignon, rather than doing something truly worthy or new. The most irritating thing is they have the resources, manufacturing and capability to actually do it.
The Oro itself wasn’t exactly groundbreaking either was it.
Here’s a thought, they knew I was involved in the Zero, 2 years ago anyone with an ounce of brain would have said, hey, why don’t we get that DaveC on board and actually listen to what he has to say. The problem is…a corporate can’t do that, it pretty much lacks that capability..so you end up with more of the same. A 65mm Mignon on an angle, with a small hopper and bellows. If I was that Innovative…I’d have to go and kill myself.
