B is a funny parameter !
Using Dave’s proposed parameters, but playing with just B on my machine
If the value is too low, group temperature oscillates within a ‘wide range’ (+/- 1°C)
With higher values, the group never reaches the target temperature, but the lower the value for B, the closer it gets to the target temperature. - With B at 20 the temperature oscillates between -0.7/-0.5 below target; With B at 15, it oscillates between -0.5/-0.3.
I haven’t tired Nelis’ settings, but it seems that a value of B around 17 or 18 works works well with Dave’s proposed PID value if one sets the target temperature for the group 0.5 degrees above what one wants.
