It’s a mysterious leak for sure. Please let’s also know what the issue was so that we can help other Evo users better, should it ever happen again, which I doubt will! :-)

darkstefano Probably nothing…but worth checking the portafilter gasket, You may have got a spare with the machine

@Cuprajake if there was ever a photo to illustrate my thoughts about the design of the Niche, that is it.

An absolutely stunning piece of Italian design, and two Niches 😅.

Ernie1 It’s fair to point out that the Niche doesn’t exactly match the big chrome box but the Leva doesn’t particularly scream Italian design to me.

Yeah it’s a tough one. I’d buy a Duo in a heartbeat if I liked how it looked. I don’t even care about paying for two burr sets etc…

I think with the bigger grinders, Mythos, Kony, E80 they’ve just gotta be dosed on-demand to really shine. Another benefit of the Duo.

Really? It might not look like a Ferrari but hard not to see more than a passing resemblance to a Gaggia Tell, or basically any other Gaggia lever from the past 70 years.

Ernie1 I wasn’t aware of the Gaggia Tell and you’re right that the Leva looks like it. I was thinking something with a bit more flair like a vintage Faema 😀

Yeah, absolutely love Faema. I almost bought an E61 Legend instead of the LM but seemed a shame to have the best part facing the wall…

I’d happily design a kitchen around being able to show one off. Assuming I could convince the wife…

Recently got a Evo Leva, but keep getting an AL 11 error. Tank is full. If I open and close the side door it goes away.

Any ideas?

The PID value F05 is time out filling of the tank, if the level in the tank is not reached within this time (sec) the error “AL11” will blink on the display.

For some reason you machine thinks the tank is empty when it’s not….which is unusual if it’s not plumbed. So check out the PID settings for -plumbed/non plumbed operation. F=4 parameter in the advanced menu should be 0 if it’s NOT plumbed in and 1 if it is.

OrangeBubblegum Also, check if the sensor itself is leaning against the reservoir wall. If it is, reposition it so it is not touching anything. When it touches the reservoir, the ring gets pushed down sometimes and causes the senor to read empty.

Seem to still be getting this error (AL11). Ive checked the setting and F=4 is 0.

Does the sensor detect if its in water or not? Or just by the positioning of the ring? (Up = tank has water, down= tank is empty)?
