@Norvin The top of Norvins ring also fits the Solo T64 grinder grind cup perfectly for an easy inversion into the portafilter.

I received the Sworks ring about a week ago (their 55mm is specific for the LSM style portafilters). It’s perfect.

Expensive even when just shipping inside the states, but the fit is flawless. It’s a little tall for my grinder chute without adjustment.

Tidaka, a German company makes funnels for the LSM group, they also fit the dalla corte.

There are two sizes, the biggest one fits the LSM and leaves room for your tamper 54.9 to tamp.

Bump on these questions - has anybody rerouted the third tube from the tank to the drip tray, or is this not recommended and I should just shorten it?

What do you mean?

2 tubes go “in the tank”

1 is the water feed in from the fill solenoid. Not used if not plumbed. But do not shorten it

2 is water out to the pump should lie in the bottom of the tank

The 3rd item is the fill level sensor which is not a tube as such but the silicone protects the electric cables. Fill switch should be 50mm or so above the bottom of the tank

Be careful when you are following “tubes” behind the boiler. Easy to get mistaken

Hi thanks for the reply. So I can identify the 3 separate “tubes” - a water level sensor, the inlet to the pump, and a third tube which appears to fill multiple duties. This tube does connect to the outlet of the plumb in valve, but also connects to the low side of the over pressure valves on the steam boiler and brew boiler. This tube is what I thought the previous discussions were about: that it was too deep in the water tank.

If I am mistaken about that then my apologies.

I have Not reread the thread to verify this, but I believe the thinking on the thread you are referring to was that because the solenoid did not have the plug, which it should if not in use, water fed back down the pipe and came out of the solenoid opening because the settings on the machine had been set to plumped not tank, therefore the solenoid was energising when the tank was empty.

In the tank will be 3 tubes.

Inlet to the pump
outlet from the solenoid valve controlling mains fill
Level sensor for tank water, the wires are in a tube, so that the sensor is held near the bottom of the tank..

I use pentair everpure claris ultra. Regulated to just over 2 bars on the feed. Brita flow meter (because it was cheap on eBay).

Change the filter annually. Wide range of cartridge sizes available.

T on the outlet for when I had Vesuvius and Evo.

These were different issues - the leaking from the solenoid fill valve was indeed siphoning as suggested by Dave but only showed up because my machine was set to plumbed in settings. It didn’t materialize every fill because the unique conditions of siphoning and needing a fill had to happen simultaneously, which I guess took a few weeks to occur.

I am trying to find time to pull the panels off and trace my tubes better. Ultimately the excess water out of the steam wand isn’t terrible, but it is a bit annoying as I splatter a bunch of water out of it during my first purge. I basically have to tell the kids to stand on the other side of the room when I’m making them steamed milk (which is secretly a selfish act so I can practice milk steaming).

I do have the Sworks 55mm tall magnetic funnel, and I really like it. Perfect fit, very magnetic.

I see now they have the red in preorder, only choice when I ordered was black.

Hey guys & gals,

So, after alot of deliberation, I decided to go ahead and but the ACS Evo2!

With a bit of luck, it should be arriving early May.

I have gone with all black (including the drip tray), dosing system, and walnut bits & bpbs - but without the safety systemo

Whilst its still in the factory, should I consider adding any items to be added to the shipment - like useful accessories designed for the Evo or spares that I should have to hand? (rather than ordering at a later date)

It’s always a good idea to see how much a spare temperature sensor costs from the factory and have it added to the box, other than that, it comes with a few handy spares, nothing really you should need to buy.

Although the new stainless sensors they moved to are much more reliable, and a few manufacturers have recently moved to the same brand. I still think it’s handy to have one if it’s cheap enough.

They come with a 32mm basket, see how you get on first, then you might want to order a 26mm deep basket for £7.99 from ebay.
