Adrianmsmith some people find the clip to be fiddly to get right. Not everyone wants to mess with it. I had a couple of lop-sided experiences with it also. To the point I elected to use a circlip, which has its own foibles.
This is like encouraging people to plumb in (they have a different set of dislikes). Not all will no matter how much you tell them it’s worth doing or that you can’t stand topping up the reservoir, heh.
