It might be worth trying to hard refresh the cache/page for the site

Also, opening anything in a new tab by right clicking, can cause problems.. Always just click on the links, no right clicking. When reading a post you can move the mouse to the left-hand side and there pops forth a popout list of posts, which thou canst pin.. Once pinned, this can be used to move from new post to new post, instead of going back and forth to the main menu.
The oops error in the red box, is usually fatal to that session and it’s better to close the tab (including any other open for the site, which there shouldn’t be) and then reopen it.
The other area is pms, this is complete trash for us in Flarum as it uses “push”..push has very little resources allocated to it on the freeflarum.org site, because it’s real time. Do anything too fast, or try and send another message within a few minutes and you get the red wall of death error messages.
Push is also used for automatic refreshes of data when a new post is mad….something I have not even looked to see if I can enable to keep resource use low. It’;s why this button exists and is much less resource hungry than refreshing the page to see new posts
If the above doesn’t help, it might be worth seeing if the same thing happens in another browser, might help us get to the bottom of it?
I come from the old days of computing where it became a habit to be resource efficient, so much so I do it automatically without thinking. It’s important for us here because we are one of their bigger forums and I suspect definitely the most active. With careful management, I can reduce the impact of that activity massively. e.g. we actually have upload rights to the flarum servers due to donations…but no way am I going to let photos and files be stored on line. The way we do it now…ALL the bandwidth to serve images and documents comes from other high bandwidth servers on the net like imgur and not freeflarum.org. This is why the photos themselves appear rapidly and don’t “paint” slowly down the screen.
P.S. Just for fun I’m even uploading Ubuntu and Lamp server onto a tiny fanless PC almost as large as 2 decks of cards….going to see if it can run the forum?
