Hi Dave.
Sorry but I have been away helping an old friend sort out a new house and while I could read your question on my phone, I couldn’t reply.
I also couldn’t email Paolo.
I had pointed out the bolt lengths to him but forgot to mention the tightness.
Yes, it is the fit from the outer edge of the “bolt” heads into the timber.
On the other hand the fit looks perfect once installed.
With the three bolts and such tight tolerences the jig used to drill the holes in the timber only needs to be a quarter of a mm out for the fit to be tight.
Once I worked out that the problem was a tight fit and not too much threadlock then it was fine.
I have more feedback for Paolo but, I only mentioned this to Old Gregg as a warning to be careful, not as a complaint.
I’m back after drinking rubbish coffee for three days and looking forward to more experiences with the big V.
(I live in the state of Victoria and all of our state team jumpers feature a big V).
