I used to have it turn on directly with my alarm but sometimes that was quite wasteful 😎

You guys must have very busy lives or live in a mansion where the machine is sited on the other wing of the home. For a machine which is ready to use in 15 minutes… why not just use the machine’s on/off switch?

I like to wake up, say coffee machine on, play talk radio…then do my ablutions, feed cat and make coffee. I’m just too important and busy to want to wait 15m! Or even have to panic about waiting 15m.

I just use the inbuilt timer.
On at 6.30 off at 2.30.
On the very rare occasions I wake up earlier I use the Strietman.
I usually turn it off after my second cup of the day.

Here’s a thing I found out today KVDW have done this, ACS has a patent, it doesn’t seem right….People seem to be very prepared to call this sort of behaviour out, but not when certain special companies do it.

Hi everyone! I’ve been owning a Vostok machine for over an year now and I enjoy everything about it except the safety sleeve which has been giving me headaches since the beginning…

My current issue with the safety sleeve is the fact that it seems to spritz water with a lot of force through the screw whole no matter what I try, which ends up digging a whole the coffee puck, as shown in the picture below…
I’d appreciate any ideas to mitigate this from one of you with more experience than me with this machine… Paolo even sent me a second safety sleeve but it’s behaving the same way…

I also have a puck screen which seems to help in this regard but I would still like to figure out a solution to get rid of this altogether, since flushing the group head causes a mess at the moment since a lot of water ends up on the touchscreen due to this spritzing…

Unfortunately, tha looks great positioning of the hole and doesn’t make a lot of sense

Mine on the right, hole is further from centre and no “puck drilling at all” even when it only had the one hole.

Assume the shower screen is on tight and its not deformed at all?

To be fair, looks like paolo did a great job with yours….. wish (for you) i could say otherwise 🤔

Thank you also. No… the shower screen doesnt look deformed and it’s tight… Crazy, I only have such a flow as the one in your video if I remove the safety sleeve and use the regular one….

What is your pre infusion pressure set at as the pump is not on constantly?

Does the pump pulse during free flow (no portafilter) if you set pre infusion at 3 bars).

What flow weight are you getting as above?

sergiu Make the videos again this time don’t film the shower screen and be so close, pull back a bit, capture the group, pressure gauge and part of the lever so we can clearly see and hear what’s going on..I assume the safety sleeve is installed??

I don’t think there is anything wrong with your machine at all.

P.S. If you have the flush lever, do a video using that as well.

Yes, I just took the sleeve off and checked the 3 inlet holes also, all looks clean and clear.

I normally have it set at 2.5 bars, in the second video I think I had it at 6 bars. How long the shower screen is on, it always pulses like this even at 6 bars and it does hit the set pressure with each pulse.

With the preinfusion set at 3 bars, I get 30g in ~14s. If I set it to 6bars, I get 30g in ~8.5s

I think we may be talking about different measurements . Sounds very low flow.

Im back home now and just checked….

250g in 10 seconds.
