They look very similar to the Motta jugs. Not expecting the same quality, but I’m sure the success of my latte art isn’t that finely balanced!

As an update on this thread - I’ve switched from the jug I bought with the temperature tags to a Motta jug on Monday. The difference is night and day. The Motta is far, far superior - especially when frothing larger quantities, which is something I struggled with virtually every time I tried with the former jug.

dutchy101 How much are you frothing? I am finding it impossible to froth c.200ml milk consistenly in a motta-style 350ml jug. Too many bubbles, too much head. I’ve had a few silky smooth, but they are the exception.

Are you now able to draw the Mona Lisa clearly into the top of a latte??

I’m using a 500ml Motta jug and whether it’s enough milk for one (175 - 200ml) or two drinks (350 - 400ml) since I’ve been using it, the foam is so much better than what I could achieve with the other jug - especially when doing milk for 2 drinks.

hthec I could pour reasonably ok before watching the video but the quality of the microfoam was a bit hit and miss. Watching the video greatly improved the quality of the microfoam which in turn made a massive difference to the quality of the latte art.

Agree with this - I watched the steaming one when moving away from using automatic steaming on the Bambino (which was actually pretty good), to a manual machine. For a starter, just knowing where to place the tip of the wand in the jug makes a massive difference

I usually make 2 lattes in the morning. Ideal milk to fit in my milk jug is 420ml. Sometimes it spills over from my 600ml jug, so I was thinking of getting a 750ml one to avoid that. Any comments/advice?

You probably do need a bigger milk pitcher, if the pitcher is very full it won’t pour that well. Do you have any pictures of how full the jug gets?

The problem I find is a lot of the better milk pitcher manufacturers (WPM, Barista Hustle, Normcore) only make 600ml as the biggest size. Motta has a 750ml one that would work if you like pouring with them

I steam the milk in the 600ml pitcher and it usually gets all the way up, almost to the brim and sometimes it spills over. For pouring I dump half in a 350ml jug, maybe go a bit back and forth to integrate the foamy part and then pour in my cup (sometimes I get a decent heart latte art, sometimes it resembles a ball sack).

Yes, Motta 750ml was on my radar. I tried a few years ago a 900ml pitcher but returned it immediately, it was too large
