WorldsPantry JahLaza to be honest that’s exactly the sort of help or guidance I need .. I’d really appreciate any further tips .. I’m assuming you have the same machine … ?
JahLaza WorldsPantry there are a couple of good threads on here worth checking specific to the Vesuvius https://coffeetime.freeflarum.com/d/1462-acs-vesuvius?page=2 https://coffeetime.freeflarum.com/d/596-vesuvius-pressure-profiling-machine-general-discussion/161
DavecUK WorldsPantry It’s fun to experiment learn and the beauty of it is, you can learn at whatever pace you want. Then save the profiles you like best.
WorldsPantry DavecUK it’s exciting .. takes you down the rabbit hole … just a quick question Dave I’m trying to plumb this in to the mains and it didn’t come with the hose as it’s obviously secondhand. Can’t find anything in the manual either and searched extensively online . Have I assumed correctly I will need to install one of these into the bottom of the machine. 6mmx ⅜ BSPT 90° male stud elbow, push-in fitting nylon pipe/tube connector… then I can connect a piece of 6mm pipe into a T in-line with the output of my Britta water filter tap.. ??
JahLaza WorldsPantry here is a picture of the hose that comes with it for plumbing in. Each end has a Flange with outer diameter of 13mm and it’s nut is 23mm outer diameter
DavecUK WorldsPantry Be careful it’s a small elbow and easily damaged. They are a standard hose and should be purchasable from any espresso parts store. Just make sure it has an elbow 1 one for under the machine and the washers haven’t fallen out (I think there should be washers…). I will have to look at some of mine, as I don’t like to plumb machines in.
WorldsPantry JahLaza ummm this is interesting as the fitting on the bottom of the machine needs a male fitting ?? This is a picture of the inlet .. with the ⅜ plug still in
Cuprajake https://www.bestfittings.co.uk/shop/fill-lines-fittings/fittings/male-male-adaptors/ https://www.bes.co.uk/braided-stainless-steel-flexible-hose-1-2-x-1500mm-8106/ Plus washers noted in second link Then all you need is ½″ bsp to what ever size John guest push fit your using
DavecUK I checked some of my plumb in fill hoses for various machines, some have washers, some have a ball compression fitting and others a different style? Seems to be a mix out there…..?
