My Hi-Fi kit comprises of a Musical Fidelity A5 integrated amp, Musical Fidelity Nu Vista CD3 CD player which has valves in it. A Linn Sondek record deck with Audio Technica stylus which sits on a Target wall mounted support, Mission 753 Freedom floor standing speakers, a Graham Slee Solo SRG Headphone Amp with PSU1 power supply and Sennheiser HD250 Linear II Headphones. For my AV system I have a Yamaha DSPA1 surround amp, a region free Sony UBP X700 Blu Ray/4k player, Mission 75C Centre speaker, a pair of Mission 77D rear speakers and a Rel Strata III Sub. I also have two Sonos ones acting as a stereo pair in the dining room and a Play 3 in the kitchen. Oh, and finally a Sony D777 ES Dab Radio connected to an arial on the house roof.
Yes there are pieces I would like to upgrade, but I have to be fair. My other half has been very good in agreeing to me getting into the real coffee malarky and spending on that, rather than sticking to a jar of (sorry for swearing) Nescafe like everyone else we know.
Having said that, at 64 and counting and having to de-wax my lugholes twice a year, would I really hear the benefit from spending x amount on new kit?… well that’s my reasoning and I’m sticking to it☹️
