tompoland In my hands, I donāt have any noticeable retention with my DF83, which is the V1 version.
My workflow is to put in the beans (usually 19g), start the grinder, and when I see the outflow start to decrease, start working the bellows until nothing come out any more. I always wind up with the same weight of grinds out as the weight of beans I start with.
From reading otherās reports on retention with the DF83, thereās a correlation between reporting higher retention and an unwillingness to use the bellows. Iām probably on the more aggressive end as far as my use of the bellows, so thatās probably why I donāt see much in the way of retention.
