mobius not so much with the day two pour where the bulk of the temperature readings, after the first 5 seconds, were between 92 and 94 degrees (PID set to 93).
And that underlines my theory that there is an optimal sweet spot duration post turning the machine one.
According to Dave it’s temperature stable at around 35 to 40 minutes. And today’s pour which was completed after 3 hours was well above that range.
If my theory is correct, then the sweet spot for (a) the water at the group head staying within a degree either side of the boiler PID temperate and (b) remaining temperature stable, is somewhere between 40 minutes and ….. less than 3 hours (that’s all I have to go on at this stage but I’ll keep testing).
