tompoland Think it’s the V. Wonder if it’s only happening in 110v land. Or of the “v” stands for “very smoky”?
DavecUK Cuprajake Not loads but it does seem to be a theme of this type of grinder where they hit the wild, then revise then revise, I know Dave said there were motor issues with that grinder he tested for bb @DavecUK That was for the little conical and it’s wasn’t motor issues, but gearbox issues with a gear being too thin and jumping off another geat. The motor itself is fine. I have a failed one and when I inspect it will take some photos. The DF64V I have yet to use because I have other time commitments which take priority. We need to be careful not to confuse the two.
drdre89 I currently have the Niche Zero and wanting a flat burr grinder as an alternative . I mainly do espresso medium to darker roasts with chocolatey flavours. DF64v (latest version) with the stock DLC burrs or pay the extra for the SSP HU?
tompoland drdre89 The stock burrs will give you what you want. 100%. Also very good with milk espresso. The SSP Espresso (HU) really shine with lighter roasts.
